Movie Review: Pan's Labyrinth
a.k.a. "El Laberinto Del Pan."
Directed by Guillermo del Toro.
This movie was OK. It's kind of a fantasy movie. But I wouldn't bring a child to see it, unless you happen to think it's OK for a child to see a movie with a particular scene where a baby gets murdered with a dagger. What's wrong with you people?!
I should probably also mention that the movie is in Spanish, with English subtitles.
Most people might not care, given that Spanish is the writer/director's first language, and the movie is set in Spain and the characters are Spanish. But some people might. Like in the imdb.com forum, where "Ladytronstar" posts the question, "Why the hell isn't it in English."
And "Borred101" muses, "Did anyone else think it was wierd that the faun spoke spanish?" So, consider yourself warned. Not one character speaks English in this movie. Not even the godforsaken faun.
