Dentist Appointment Review: Yesterday's

Everything went OK!
I'd like to thank everybody that called or texted me to wish me well, and especially those who sent flowers.
Such an outpouring of love! It's times like these when you find out who your real friends are.

Basically, what happened is, the hygienist cleaned my teeth with a pick, and then she polished them. She informed me I have no cavities. Then the dentist came along and he said I should probably floss more often. I told him I floss about every other day, and he said, "If you could do it every day, it would be better."

Unfortunately, I'm not out of the woods yet! The dentist said I have to make another appointment to come back in about six months.

Today, the recovering is going well. I'm watching TV and might have a beer later.
I hope to be back to work by Friday. Happy days ahead!

Movie Review: Borat

After viewing this film, I retract any statements I made about it changing one's life.
I just can't endorse any enterprise that casts Birmingham in a bad light. Plus I think they should have cast somebody that looked more like the real Borat.

Whatever though. It was still better than "The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause" and that last movie Jack "No longer mistaken for already being dead" Palance was in.

Elections Review: Yesterday's

Yesterday's results, in 30 seconds or less:

Santorum lost.
Rumsfeld gone.
A bunch of other cock-knocker assholes lost.
All of the above cock-knocker assholes were replaced with slightly less cock-knocker asshole shit-eating fuckwads.
Democrats are happy.

Macacas are not.

Weekend Damage Report

The weekend summarized in four words and two pictures:

La Ruca.

Me eat.

Up yours, doctor!!! Ha ha!
The evidence:

A restaurant called Cozy Corner, on North Parkway. Pretty good pile of pig ribs.

McDonald's has a smiling clown. Central BBQ has an ill-tempered pig.

You're an ill-tempered pig.

The photographs lose sharpness as the photographer begins to lose dexterity and vision.

Gus's Fried Chicken on Front Street. Famous for having spicy fried chicken and 40s. Good chicken.

Fish that I saw one time in Italy. I didn't eat any.

Fish are pathetic creatures with puny, worthless ribs. And they're not good deep-fried either. Weak.

Overall, this carb-free diet is working out great.

Not pictured: Horseshoe Casino Buffet, Southland Greyhound Track snack bar, Huey's Burger. I'll be back at the Horseshoe this weekend to investigate further.
Stay tuned!

Mountains Review: Da Ozarks

First we want to say thanks to Earl for showing us a wonderful time. LR and I had great fun. Hi Earl! We know you're reading this right now!

Trip started out by consuming a porterhouse steak at Doe's Eat Place in Little Rock, Arkansas. Argh!

Somehow couldn't resist stopping here.

Canoeing was the order of the day.

Stopped by a church. Said hello to our old friend Jesus.

(I call him "Chuy.")

This photo was taken at the clothing-optional resort we stayed at.

Some dead flowers on a lake.

This kid is like the Jimi Hendrix of Arkansas.

Some bridge. We hiked across it.

The legendary scotch egg.
I had always wanted to eat one before I died.

I'll probably mention this in my autobiography.

Hah! Here's Earl again! Mugging for the camera. What a ham! Hi, Earl!

Movie Review: Borat

Dear Members of the Blogging Community:
I had a vision last night. In that vision, everyone who saw this movie, well it changed their life. This is no joke.
So go watch it. It opens in two days.
Seriously. If we don't support this thing, they might not make a sequel.
5 Stars!
If it doesn't indeed change your life, I will personally refund your price of admission. Or change your life. My choice.
